Who we are
Brian and Paula Ray met in high school in Dallas, TX. At age 16, Brian vowed to marry Paula at age 22. They rekindled a friendship after graduation that quickly grew to marriage and six children. Brian and Paula chose very early in their parenthood, that someone had to be present with their young children. At ages 20 & 22 the couple decided to live on a single income, allowing Paula to nurture the children full time. After the recession in 2008, Paula returned to work for a short period of time then later began the journey to homeschool in 2014.
After the birth of their fourth child, Paula was diagnosed with several health issues surrounding her hormones and fertility. At that time, she was given no medical treatment or advice as doctors explained “that’s just the way that it is” and “this is normal for some women”. Paula could not accept poor health as normal and began to search for alternative answers, alongside Brian. They learned of the hormone disrupters in everyday household products and decided to find natural solutions instead. The couple discovered the power of essential oils on their quest for answers and began to share their own experiences with everyone. They later became Wellness Advocates for doTERRA and expanded their reach to other families across the country. Their love for essential oils was only the beginning of their business journey. Brian and Paula have a successful podcast as well as a floor care service business, Essential Carpet Cleaning in the Dallas, TX Metroplex. As they themselves have made changes in their own lives by taking small steps that compound over time, they encourage others to do the same in all areas of life. Paula and Brian encourage and inspire families to maintain a holistic balance putting health and family first.
Family is truly central to Brian and Paula. They even base their family business decisions on the betterment of their own family. The couple are advocates for homeschool and have dedicated themselves to help families get started on their own homeschool journeys. Brian and Paula insist on leaving both a rich spiritual and financial inheritance to their children’s children and wish to help others do the same.
